The LightningVolt Button works like a power switch to activate/deactivate your lithium Off-Grid Solar battery. Use the LightningVolt Button when you intend to store the battery for an extended period. By deactivating the battery, the power consumption of the Battery Management System (BMS) is reduced to zero, enabling the battery to be stored without experiencing a drop in voltage or state of charge. It even shields the battery from parasitic draws which means you can store your battery in your RV for extended periods without removing the battery terminal connections.
It’s also a battery safety mechanism! We recommend using the LightningVolt Button to deactivate the battery to ensure user safety and to prevent shorting out components while working on the RV’s battery circuit and during transportation.

LightningVolt batteries can be connected with other batteries using the LightningVolt DC-DC charger/isolator or other isolator device. It is not recommended to connect batteries of different chemistries, voltages, or capacities.
LightningVolt batteries feature a proprietary power control button. A long press of the button will disconnect the internal cells from the BMS, Bluetooth connection, and any external loads so your battery will last longer in storage. The battery can be stored safely in freezing conditions, but it should not be stored in high heat.
